Happy Earth Day! We have come a long way since that first Earth Day celebration in 1970 (but of course there is so much further to go). The first Earth Day featured U.S. Senator Edmund Muskie as the keynote speaker. Muskie was the author of Clean Air Act of 1970 (and sponsor of significant water pollution legislation), so a perfect fit.
