I electric bill just arrived yesterday, and EEEKKK! , It was a frighteningly high. I've been shutting off lights and such, but between running air conditioning at the start of the month & the basement dehumidifier working over time we used up a lot of juice. I guess it is time to look into replacing some of the old appliances around here with newer ENERGY STAR models. I've already switched over quite appliances, but of course due to budget limitations, can't do it all at once...
