I’m a Canon girl. I don’t have anything bad to say about the other brands I’ve tried, but once I got my hands on my first DSLR from Canon, I was hooked. In my opinion the Canon brand offers good return for the money, and lens prices were a little more reasonable for the particular type of photos I take (lots of food pics…lol). I love my current Canon 60D, which I bought about a year ago, but sometimes on dark days, I do wish I went with the T5i, since it has higher ISO capabilities (basically means it can capture more of the available light). The camera is also lighter. Either would be a great choice for most amateur to semi-pro photographers.
… of course there is a sale in the T5i right now. It starts today actually.
