This, the second episode of Private Lives of Nashville Wives (TNT), delved much deeper into both the lady's lives and who they are as people.
Here are the highlights..
Cassie & Gary welcomed baby Eva Rose into their family after a harrowing 10 days waiting to see if their open adoption would complete. The birth mom was stopping by to drop off breast milk, and the couple were understandably stressed by her attention to the baby. Now that the window has closed, I think the couple, little Eva Rose and her birth mother will have a pleasant relationship and be glad they chose an open adoption. Last week I found Gary sort of creepy, but I guess he grew on me a bit this week. He showed the awkwardness anyone would in the situation. It made him more real for me. Cassie also shared that people's view of her as a gold digger, since Gary is considerably older than her, is way off base. Gary was actually broke went she met him, due to a real estate transaction gone wrong.
While we found out Erika has a bit of a costume fetish, we also learned how nervous and cautious she is. She hasn't really been out without her husband in 10 years, which certainly showed when she put together a girls night out party. The party arrangements were well, lame and a couple of the ladies were not so lady-like about that. Ana (one of the twins) in particular showed her "mean girl" side, by snagging the sexy costume Erika was gifted by Cassie earlier in the evening and wearing it around the bar, knowing this would upset Erika.
Sarah, the aspiring musician of the bunch, struggled with connecting to her audience. The music was good, but the people present were not familiar with her music, so that is always a tough sell. The whole thing made me wonder how far out of Nashville this gig was, since the other ladies would surely have enjoyed Sarah's show more than where they were at.
The snakes in the grass, Ana & Jenny, got together for drinks another day and discussed the night out. Jenny then dubbed Erika the "Fun Sponge", someone who sucks the fun out of the room. These two snakes in the grass, come to the conclusion that telling Erika what they think would be a good idea .... We'll have to tune in next week, to witness that train wreck.
